Vote for a character.

I’ve been thinking of using some down time to model and rig a new character as an exercize.

Before I do that I’d like to know which character people like the most. Please vote below.

I’ll be starting next monday on the winner and I’ll be sure to post updates as the 3D comes together.

animation work-in-progress

This is a simple personal piece that I’m working on.  I’m using rigs and audio from youanimator.com

It’s still early in the blocking phase, and most of the lip-sync is done.  Be sure to watch it a couple times to let it download completely.

Here’s another work-in-progress post…this is the devil character that I’m working on…I’ve got him almost completely modeled and now I’m working on his texturing and rigging.

So, I’ve decided to update an old animation that I’ve been working on.  You can see the old version here.

This was more of an exercise in a more realistic rendering techniques then difficult animation.  I wanted to use ray-traced shadows instead of just a depth map.

Next weeks work-in-progress is a toy truck that will be incorporated into the scene.

Rudy & Mambo

Those of you who know my brother Carlos, know that he has 2 great dogs named Rudy & Mambo as well as 2 great kids.  When Rudy was diagnosed with cancer in his mouth, I decided to draw a comic book about him and his best buddy Mambo.  I wanted to be sure that my niece and nephew would always remember these 2 great dogs that I loved.  So, I created this story and comic book for them.  I even had it printed for them to read over and over again.

And now, I’d like to make it available to anyone else who is looking for a cute little comic book good for young children.

Hey everyone.

It was a slow day at work this morning…and then I had to wait for a walk cycle to get finished.

So, in that time I did a little sketch for work-in-progress wednesday.

I just started coloring him, I don’t know which way to head with that yet.

 

Although it was finished a while ago, here is the finished colored drawing.

So, I’ve been pretty busy as of late and haven’t had a chance to post a work-in-progress in a while.

Here is one I call “Lonliness”.  It’s about 90% finished.

So, one of the projects that I’ve been working on is to get better at more realistic aspects of 3D.

Using my own hand as reference, I’ve modeled a hand and I’m working on rigging it and texturing it.

I still have a lot to do for this, but I just wanted to post another work-in-progress.
